Developing an ESOL Curriculum
This series will begin with an overview of the process of creating a curriculum for ESOL classes. Discussion will address such questions as: Where do you start? What are the components of a curriculum? What is the relationship between a coursebook and a curriculum? and What curricula are available on the web? During the second session, participants will have the opportunity to work alone or in teams to draft or expand on their own curriculum. In the final session, participants will share their drafts and receive feedback from the facilitators and fellow participants.
Attendance Restrictions: Attendees must commit to attending all three days of the series.
Sessions: October 3rd, 5th, and 12th
Scheduling note: The October 3rd session is from 4:30 - 7:30pm. The October 5th and 12th sessions are from 9:30am - 12:30pm.
Registration will close at end of business day on October 2nd.
